Greywater Recycling
Greywater is specifically wash water. That is, bath, dish, and laundry water excluding toilet wastes and free of garbage-grinder residues.
When properly managed, greywater can be used to water gardens or to provide water for washing or flushing toilets. Recycling greywater can save approximately one third of your water consumption.

Rainwater Harvesting
A rainwater collection system can be as simple as having a rain barrel to collect plant friendly pH neutral water for the garden. More complex systems can be integrated into an indoor plumbing system for either household use such as flushing toilets and washing laundry, or (with a proper treatment system), even drinking water. In many cases it can be an ideal alternative or supplement to low volume wells that go dry in the summer, limited piped water supply, or poor quality well water.
